Workforce Development  
Square One offers two FREE education and career-building programs for youth ages 14-25, who are seeking to earn their high-school equivalency diploma and/or begin building their careers.
Through our partnerships with area employers, our participants earn money and receive valuable training and workplace experience. Participant wages are paid through grant-funded programs managed by Square One, creating a risk-free experience for area employers and a rich learning opportunity for our region’s youth.

Learn & Earn

A program that helps out-of-school 16-24-year olds start their path to career success.

YouthWorks

Is a state-funded Commonwealth Corporation Program serving teens and young adults ages 14-25 years old.

HiSET

Participants can receive free high-school equivalency (HiSET) education, and test preparations.

Resume Building

Create a strong, personalized resume that showcases your unique strengths and life experience designed to help participants confidently take the next step in their career journey.

Work Readiness Training

Participants prepare for success with hands-on training in workplace skills, professional communication, and interview techniques designed to support the youth as they build confidence and step into new career opportunities.

Job Search Support

Participants receive personalized help finding the right job from searching and applying to following up with guidance that fits your schedule.

Nationally Accredited Child Care

Available to participants who need care for their children. 

On-Going Career Counseling

Get continuous one-on-one support to explore career paths, set goals, and navigate challenges offered with the flexibility and understanding that participants need.

Paid Career-Readiness Training

Gain valuable workplace skills while earning a paycheck. Our career-readiness training prepares youth for success by teaching essential job skills, workplace etiquette, and professional communication.

Project-Based Learning

Participants engage in real-world projects that build problem-solving, teamwork, and leadership skills helping them develop confidence and career readiness.

Job Certification & Placement

Our dedicated team works closely with local employers to connect you with job opportunities that match your skills and interests. We provide personalized support throughout the job search process.

Mentoring & Coaching

Benefit from one-on-one mentorship and coaching sessions with industry professionals who provide guidance, advice, and support to help you navigate your career path effectively.
