QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Have the personal qualities to work with and relate well to FCC Providers, children, families and staff within the Square One Family Child Care System.
  1. Hold an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field with at least two years’ experience with young children, or; possess a valid CDA certificate with at least 3 years experience with young children.
  1. Must be familiar with EEC family child care regulations
  1. Must have a reliable means of transportation for daily use with proper automobile liability insurance coverage and possess a valid driver’s license.
  1. Be self-motivated, very organized with an attention to detail to document and record compliance requirements and maintain inventory lists electronically.
  1. Computer proficiency in MS office is required for documentation and record keeping.
  1. Family child care experience is preferred.
  1. Must be bi-lingual; English/Spanish.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  1. Conduct drop in site visits to Family Child Care Providers, on a monthly basis, to monitor compliance with all Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) regulations.
  2. Prepare written home visit reports and all other reports as needed.
  3. Assess compliance of Square One’s policies and procedures as stated in the Family Child Care Provider Agreement.
  4. Work with the Director of FCC to provide assistance to FCC Providers with community organizations for children who may require specialized services.
  5. Support FCC providers in understanding, following and developing improvement plans, based on EEC regulations.
  6. Attend and participate in regular staff meetings.
  7. Support FCC providers with making quality improvements to their programs, in conjunction with the FCC team.
  8. Assist in distribution of supplies and equipment to FCC homes.
  9. Inform Director of FCC of any unresolved issues/concerns of FCC Providers.
  10. Work with the Director of FCC in identifying community resources for FCC Provider.
  11. Attend all Square One FCC training sessions/professional development days.
  12. Communicate regularly with the director of FCC to share pertinent information obtained through regular contact with FCC providers and children.
  13. Maintain sound working relationship with FCC providers, children and staff as well as other agency providers.
